I am a puppeteer and puppet maker, with extensive experience in street, folk and other rough theatre practices. I also work in set design and construction, prop and mask making. As a creative practitioner I regularly exhibit drawings, paintings, sculpture and film.
I am a versatile educator and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I currently teach theatre design modules at Canterbury Christ Church University. I have taught art and animation theory, drawing, professional practice, curating and post-graduate supervision. For six years I was a BA Programme Director; firstly of Visual Arts and Design followed by Fine Art with pathways in Applied Arts and Curating.
I am co-founder and Chair of the community arts and heritage group Bringing Alive Sandwich Heritage (BASH). I have co-organised a number of events in the Sandwich area including Sandwich 1457 anniversary celebrations and The Winter Tales Festival of Stories.
